Cobi #21076A Space Shuttle Discovery -352 pce
The Space Shuttle Discovery was the third orbiter from NASA’s Space Shuttle program.
Its first mission was 30th August 1984 and it’s last was 24th February 2011.
In its nearly 27 years of service it launched and landed 39 times, gathering more spaceflights than any other spacecraft. During that time, it spent nearly one year in space and had 252 crew members.
Discovery performed both research and International Space Station assembly missions. However, it is probably most well known for its mission to carry the Hubble Telescope into space.
Once it retired in 2011, it was placed on display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. It is still on display today.
