Grandt Line #5905 Standard Section Tool House Kit - 2-1/4 x 1-3/4" 5.7 x 4.5cm
One of the most common buildings along any right-of-way are small toolsheds. Generations of maintenance and track crews used these handy buildings to store all kinds of tools and supplies, as well as track inspection cars. This kit represents a prefabricated steel design, used system-wide on the Rio Grande starting around 1940. (The prototype is at Pando, Colorado.) Still in use today, its styling is typical of similar buildings used on many roads. The kit features detailed plastic parts and the large doors can be built in the open or closed position.
