About the Car
The Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo was developed based on the European specifications of Lancer EX2000 Turbo announced in 1979, and made its debut in 1981 WRC. The engine was equipped with a 1997cc inline 4-cylinder SOHC at the front. With the rear-wheel-drive, the Lancer Turbo adopted the front-engine and rear-drive(FR) 2WD system. The Lancer Turbo made its debut at the WRC round 6 Acropolis Rally in 1981, and finished in 9th place in 1982. At the 9th round of 1982, August held in Finland, the 1000 Lakes Rally, the Lancer Turbo showed its excellent driving performance and won in 3rd place in the combination of P. Airikkala and J. Piironen.
About the Kit
This is a 1/24 scale unpainted assembly Plastic Model Kit that reproduces the Mitsubishi Rally car Lancer Turbo which finished 3rd place at the 9th round of 1982 WRC, the 1000 Lakes Rally.
• Paint and Glue are required.
• Reproduce the flush surfaced body design realistically.
• A feature to reproduce the rally car parts, such as driving lights mounted in front bumper, overfenders, rear spoiler added in new tooling .
• The interior parts such as the roll cage, bucket seat, and dashboard for rally version are reproduced in detail.
• Marking for the Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo which won in 3rd place in 1000 Lakes Rally in 1982.
• The finish is approx 178mm in length, and 74mm in width.
