Walthers Cornerstone #933-3199 - Track Scales - HO Scale Kit
Based on typical North American prototypes, these non-operating stationary Walthers Cornerstone Track Scales make great additions to yard or industrial scenes from the steam-era to the present. Stationary track scales require that the car to be positioned on the scale track and then weighed. The weighbridge of the track scale has two sets of rails, the set closest to the scale house is for weighing the cars, the second set of rails allows passage of the locomotive and cars that don't need weighing.
This kit includes parts to build one light-duty scale with a wood deck and one heavy-duty scale with a concrete deck. Also included are parts for one flat-roofed and one peaked-roof scale house matching common prototype designs. Track scale alignment guides on the base plate make it simple to lay rail on the weighbridge deck.
